Watching the kid is easier than working
I felt compelled to write this morning. I got to thinking about Jenny working a full time job, me working a full-time job (albeit at home) with Fox Designs Studios that raising Riley has been a hell of a lot easier than I thought it would be. I wouldn't trade the worst second at NIC (my last job) for the worst day with Riley when she's throwing a day-long temper tantrum. Watching Riley during the day has been a breeze. Even when I have to work, I can work during the day off and on because I work so fast and I can still hang out with her and play with her. Sometimes when I can force myself, we go out to the park etc. I guess my point here is to the men of this world whose wives say that raising a child is a full time job. They are lying. It is not. I can tell you first hand. Over the past couple weeks Jenny has been working A LOT and has been sick a lot. I have had to pick up a lot of the responsibilities so she can rest. Working those 12's can really do a number on you -- I should know cause I've worked them for years. Raising a child is too easy -- even combined with all of the house work. I think what it boils down to is people are just lazy and like to complain. Because I'm sure there are men out there that say the same thing "oh it's such a hard job... I have it worse at home with the kids... you get to go to work and get out of the house" WRONG. Being at home with the kid and all the house cleaning is WAY EASIER than going into work. I speak from the experience on BOTH ENDS of that statement.
