Message: Thought you would like to read this... On Interstate 10, next to Firebird International Raceway, Phoenicians will remember Compton Terrace as the spot to go for concerts that came to Phoenix until as late as the mid-90's. If you do a google search, you'll see that everyone played there. It has a history about it, and that's what attracts me to it. I love abandoned buildings because of their history. It's privately owned so I will never be able to enter, but part of me would love to stand on stage. And, while I've never witnessed a concert, I could imagine the crowd, the lights mounted to the lighting rack above, a man on a spotlight at the spotlight stand about 50 feet up. Recently, perhaps even over this past weekend, it was destroyed. The historic Compton Terrace was laid to rest this week to make way for the expansion of the Firebird Off Road Course. Check out the video of it coming down. Find this article at: http://www.jennyandjeramiah.com/index.php/site/blog/compton_terrace_removed/
